To become a member of EMDRNZ you need to have attended an EMDRNZ accredited training or overseas equivalent, as well as
have registration in Aotearoa/New Zealand as a Mental Health practitioner and membership of appropriate Professional Body i.e NZ Psychology Board, NZ Medical Board, NZAC.
If you have done your EMDR training outside of New Zealand, we will consider your application on a case by case basis. We will mainly consider if the training has been accredited by the National EMDR association where the training was held.
Membership Requirements: Joining the EMDRNZ Community
Case Consultants applying to EMDRNZ from overseas or who are accredited with an overseas EMDR association are required to confirm with an EMDRNZ accredited case consultant that they meet all the requirements as outlined in the EMDRNZ accreditation regulations.
The EMDRNZ case consultant will then forward their application to the board the same way as for any other applicant.
All applications for Accreditation as a Trainer will be considered by the EMDRNZ Board, please see the Accreditation page for details of the trainer and training accreditation requirements.
